Huawei Tron - Android Gaming Console

Now as China has lifted it’s ban on foreign gaming Consoles, it’s own BIGGEST manufacturer ‘Huawei’ is ready to release such a Device. It is user friendly cylindrical canister that runs Android 4.2 and outputs a 1080p video feed to your nearest TV via HDMI. The Tron contains a Nvidia Tegra 4 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16/32GB of storage, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0 — which connects to the accompanying controller — and even a full-sized USB 3.0 port, I guess you can connect a portable HDD and play games stored in that. And the best part is that the cost for such great features is only about $120 which would be about 12.7 thousand (12662.40 to be exact)

The Tron has been released in competition with the ouya which is also a android gaming console, designed by Yves Behar, where all the games are free to try. Some Websites just simply say

” Huawei Tron game console is like a next-gen Ouya “

That small is the size of this console. Comes only in the black and white colors. The size makes it more portable than the Playstation Portable.

Tron is very neatly designed.

The back of the Tron where all the wires are plugged in. The USB 3.0 port, the LAN port and bellow it is the power supply and the HDMI port. i guess the one left is maybe the port for headphones.

The top is quite simple with just the touch turn on button, and when the light turns on it actually reminds of the Walt Disney move ‘ Tron ‘. Where as the bottom is full of stickers and trademarks, copyrights from micro sd, Wi-Fi and etc.

The controller looks great. It looks like a “greatest hits” compilation of all the existing console controllers right now: the PS3/4’s general form, the analog stick placement of the Xbox, and the central touchpad of the Steam Console controller. Its like the controller us gamers dream of.

As it runs on the android 4.2 it can run all sorts of android games. Supported with a 2 Giga B. RAM i think it’s not gonna limit the choice of games. The Nvidia Tegra 4 is going to supply the Tron Mouth Watering Graphics, at 1080p , Max HD.

This Running android, will end up getting rooted. maybe we’ll get a couple of cheeny (chinese) Custom Roms.

There are high chances that it won’t be selling in USA because of its name. the name already has it’s copyrights to Walt Disney. or maybe they would rename it and sale it.
