Infinix Mobility is known for making budget smartphones and the company just unveiled the Infinix Concept Phone 2021 at the Mobile World Congress 2021 (MWC). The device has already been leaked on the internet as the Infinix Zero X but this official unveil confirms that the device might not be launched this year.
The Infinix Concept Phone 2021 has caught everyone’s attention with the 160W fast charging support, which the company claims can take the 4000mAh battery onboard the device from 0 – 100% in just 10 minutes. Infinix calls this technology “Ultra Flash Charge System” and it is built around an 8C battery, which boasts 18% lower internal resistance compared to the 6C battery. Furthermore, the company has also developed a Super Charge Pump, that converts incoming voltage from the USB-C port to the voltage that goes inside the battery itself. Moreover, the company says this pump provides 98.6% efficiency. The smartphone also supports 50W wireless charging, which is not anything special since 50W wireless charging is already supported by many devices on the market.
In terms of specifications, the Infinix Concept Phone 2021 sports a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution. The smartphone is equipped with a 88 degrees curved screen and the device also utilizes a glass panel on the rear with an equally curved design on both sides with a thin bit of metal separating both panels.
The smartphone also features color-changing technology for the rear panel, which also has the world “NOW” inscribed on it. Furthermore, the back of the device keeps glowing while the smartphone is powered on and the ‘O’ ring illuminates when the phone is charging while the rest of the back panel can change colors from silver-grey to light-blue as a form of notification. The color-changing technology reported uses electrochromic and electroluminescent technology.
Infinix Concept Phone 2021 is said to be equipped with 20 temperature sensors across the body to ensure that operating temperature is maintained under 0ºC (104ºF). If the working conditions change, there is a security feature which is activated to avoid any damage to the smartphone.
Another feature that stands out is the periscope lens on the rear camera setup. The lens has a 135mm diameter and supports 60X magnification with digital zoom. The smartphone also houses another 8MP sensor while information about two sensors on the rear is still not known at the moment. However, the front of the smartphone houses a selfie-camera with a hole-punch design, which is pretty common in many smartphones.
The exact release date and more information is still unknown and we will have to wait for future announcements by the company regarding the Infinix Concept Phone 2021.
