Intel launches Articul8 AI

Intel, a global tech giant, is shaking up the artificial intelligence (AI) scene with the creation of Articul8 AI, a new standalone company devoted to advancing generative AI. Teaming up with DigitalBridge Group, a digital-focused asset manager, and various influential investors, Intel aims to revolutionize the enterprise AI landscape.

While the financial details, including valuation and Intel’s retained stake, remain undisclosed, the formation of Articul8 AI signifies a strategic move by Intel to concentrate on AI software development. Born from a fruitful two-year research collaboration with Boston Consulting Group (BCG), this venture showcases a generative AI system capable of processing text and images. Developed using Intel’s powerful supercomputer and a blend of open-source and proprietary technology, Articul8 AI holds promise for the future.

At the forefront of Intel’s enterprise AI aspirations, Articul8 AI is strategically positioned to tackle the challenges of transitioning generative AI from proof of concept to production in a secure and cost-effective manner. Arun Subramaniyan, a seasoned professional in the data center and AI domain and former Intel vice president, assumes the role of CEO, underscoring the company’s commitment to overcoming obstacles in the swiftly evolving AI landscape.
