Amidst the heavy rains in Gwadar, Jazz steps forward to offer a helping hand by providing free minutes to both Jazz and PTCL to customers for a duration of three days.
Jazz added that despite the extremely challenging conditions created by heavy rains, it is making all efforts to ensure essential telecom services remain up and running in areas most impacted by heavy rains.
Relief and rescue efforts are ongoing in Gwadar. Furthermore, the government of Balochistan has declared an emergency in Gwadar because heavy rain has declared it a calamity-hit area.
Life and traffic in Gwadar, Makran, and parts of Balochistan were affected because of the rain. The rain caused flash floods and flooded many areas. Officials said Gwadar got about 180 millimetres of rain in two days.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, Gwadar got 60mm of rain in the past 24 hours. Other places also got rain: Jiwani got the most with 72mm, Kalat got 53mm, Khuzdar got 34mm, Sibbi got 30mm, Dalbandin got 21mm, and Turbat got 20mm.
