Apple might be introducing a MacBook Pro 16-inch with its new M1X chip which is reportedly on an entirely different level when it comes to performance according to a tipster who goes by LeaksApplePro.
Apple has not revealed any information regarding an M1X processor but according to the tipster, the new chip will be unveiled with the MacBook Pro 16-inch through a press release.
The tipster also managed to reveal some details about the Apple M1X which will reportedly boast 12 cores out of which eight will be performance cores while the remaining four will be efficiency cores.
Apple’s M1 processor has already proven itself to be a worthy competitor to some of Intel’s higher end processors while completely discovering the entry level options by the company.
The Apple M1 chip powers the the MacBook Air, MacBook Pro and the Mac mini devices providing equal if not greater performance than its Intel counterpart while offering a fanless design, which means a completely silent operation.
Apple’s MacBook Pro 16-inch comes with an Intel i9 processor but the laptop has been some thermal limitations. However, if the tipster turns out to be correct, the M1X chip will be a game changer for the company. The performance of the M1X with active cooling in a bigger size would be something else altogether.
However, we will need to wait and see what Apple has planned as there is no official confirmation and this one Tipster and the related tweet is all that we can go on for now.
