MSI has publicly acknowledged issues with the initial BIOS of its RTX 4070 Ti SUPER 16G VENTUS 3X graphics card and issued an apology following feedback from media outlets. NVIDIA notified MSI less than two days before the scheduled review release, reporting a 5% performance deficit in the graphics card. The original BIOS version 95.03.45.40.58 showed negligible improvement compared to the RTX 4070 Ti, even after MSI’s initial BIOS update (version 95.03.45.40.DC). NVIDIA stated the performance remained 3% lower than expected.
In response, MSI swiftly released another BIOS update, version 95.03.45.40.F0, aiming to align the card’s performance with competitors. Concerns were raised about the timing of the second update, with some outlets reportedly receiving it only two hours before the review embargo lifted, limiting its incorporation into evaluations.
Recently, MSI has issued an official statement admitting that the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER 16G VENTUS 3X graphics card “cannot fully realize its potential.” The company apologized for any inconvenience and quickly released new BIOS updates for all RTX 4070 Ti SUPER cards to resolve performance issues.
