Netflix has announced the launch of five Netflix Games for Android users, including Stranger Things: 1984, Stranger Things 3, Shooting Hoops, Card Blast, and Teeter Up. This is just the first step in what Netflix says is a grand plan to add games on the service.
The company said that Netflix Games will have a dedicated row or category like all other content, and it is included as part of the basic subscription, with no extra fees, advertising, or in-app purchases. Furthermore, the games can be played by multiple users on the same account, as long as the device limit is not exceeded.
Moreover, the company mentioned that some game will require an internet connection, while others will be available to play offline for users. However, the games will not be permitted on kids’ account.
Netflix has been developing its mobile games feature for a while now and testing the service in some countries, including Poland, Spain, and Italy. The games will be available worldwide for Android users starting today, but the company has confirmed that iOS support will be added soon.
