There are multiple reports online regarding the HMD Global preparing to enter the gaming segment with launch of the Nokia G10 and their brand series which will reportedly focus on mobile gamers as their target audience. However, it bears mentioning that all of this is merely a speculation at this point and there is no confirmation regarding the matter by the company itself.
According to details provided by NokiaPowerUser, the smartphone will carry model number TA-1334 and will feature just 4GB of RAM coupled with 64GB of user storage which is definitely less than ideal for a gaming device as being stated by several online sources.
The specifications which were tipped online makes the smartphone sound more like a budget device rather than a brand new gaming series phone when compared to smartphones like the ASUS ROG Phone 5, which is tipped to feature up to 18GB of RAM.
Furthermore, the Nokia G10 is rumored to be equipped with an Octa-core processor and a 6.4-inch display. The tipped specifications also claim that the smartphone will feature a quad-camera setup with a 48MP primary sensor on the back and a 16MP selfie shooter on the front.
However, we need to wait a bit longer for official details regarding the upcoming smartphone but from the looks of it, the Nokia G10 sounds more like a budget device than a new G-Series aimed at gaming. One thing is for sure, if the name is correct, the new line will remove all the dots and change HMD’s Global’s current naming strategy.
