Today, Nothing unveiled its third smartphone, the Nothing Phone (2a), marking its entry into the mid-range segment. Unlike the company’s flagship models, this device boasts a distinctive design while still offering premium features at a mid-range price.
The Nothing Phone (2a) showcases a compact, boxy form factor with a transparent design, allowing glimpses of internal components such as screws and rubber cables. Its rear sports a circular island housing two horizontal cameras, surrounded by three Glyph LED strips, and it boasts IP54 certification for dust and water resistance.
At the front, the Nothing Phone (2a) features a flat 6.7-inch OLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, offering a peak brightness of 1,300 nits and HDR10 support. Thin bezels surround the screen, with a centrally-aligned punch-hole cutout housing a 32MP selfie camera, alongside an in-display fingerprint scanner.
In terms of photography, the Nothing Phone (2a) impresses with a 50MP OIS-enabled main sensor and a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera, offering features like UltraXDR, Motion Capture, Night Mode, Action Mode, and Portrait Optimizer.
Under the hood, the phone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Pro processor, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It houses a 5,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging support and runs on Nothing OS 2.5 based on Android 14, promising three years of OS updates and four years of security patches.
Connectivity options include WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, dual 5G, and NFC. The Nothing Phone (2a) comes in White and Black colors, with prices starting at Rs 23,999 for the base variant. HDFC Bank cardholders in India can avail an instant discount of Rs 2,000 during the first sale on Flipkart starting March 12.
