OnePlus has recently introduced the OnePlus 12 in China as part of its 10th-anniversary flagship smartphone lineup, showcasing a host of premium features.
Among the notable features, the OnePlus 12 marks the return of wireless charging support, a feature absent in the OnePlus 11 but present in previous models. Specifically, the latest model supports the 50W AIRVOOC standard, aligning with the capabilities of the OnePlus 10 Pro and the OnePlus 9 Pro.
Accompanying this announcement is the unveiling of a new wireless charger, officially named the ‘OnePlus AIRVOOC 50W Wireless Flash Charger A1.’ This accessory, available in a sleek white color reminiscent of its predecessor, is priced at ¥299 ($40) in China. As a limited-time offer, it will be sold at ¥249 ($35) and can further be discounted to ¥199 (~$30) when purchased alongside the OnePlus 12.
Although not yet listed on the official website, a retailer listing provides insights into the charging stand’s capabilities. OnePlus asserts that this wireless charger can charge up to 50% of the OnePlus 12’s 5,400mAh battery in a mere 23 minutes. The charger incorporates a dual-coil design and features a 60° inclining angle for convenient phone placement.
To manage thermal performance, the charger incorporates butterfly wing air cooling technology. Additionally, it offers an intelligent quiet mode, reducing fan speed and charging speed during nighttime use.
It’s worth noting that this accessory is exclusively compatible with the OnePlus 12 and the Oppo Find X6 Pro. Users of older OnePlus and Oppo phones with 50W AIRVOOC support will need to stick with the previous charger.
Lastly, the wireless charger accommodates handsets within a case with a maximum thickness of 2mm, providing users with convenience and flexibility in charging their devices.
