OnePlus has launched the mid-range OnePlus 12R that comes loaded with some high-end features. The smartphone is a rebranded version of the OnePlus Ace 3 and a successor to the OnePlus 11R, which comes with considerable improvements.
Design
The OnePlus 12R follows the footsteps of its predecessor and the flagship OnePlus 12, with the only major difference being that the alert slider has been shifted to the left side. It features an under-display fingerprint scanner for added security.
Display
The screen comes with a 6.78-inch BOE X1 OLED display that is curved on the edges and has a punch-hole cutout, featuring 1.5K resolution and peak brightness of up to 4,500 nits. It has a 120Hz ProXDR refresh rate and LTPO 4.0 technology, which guarantees adaptive refresh rates such as 90Hz and 72HZ.
Camera
The triple rear camera setup includes a 50MP Sony IMX890 main sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP macro unit. Moreover, a 16MP front-facing camera handles selfies.
Performance
The 12R is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and comes with up to 12GB of RAM and storage of up to 256GB. It has a heat dissipation system that ensures efficient operation. The 5,500mAh battery supports 100W wired charging and the smartphone comes with Android 14 OS pre-installed featuring Battery Health Engine technology for better battery life.
