Pakistan May Experience Slow Internet Due Submarine Cable Outage

Pakistan is likely to experience slow internet services due to a partial outage of the IMEWE submarine cable, which handles a huge portion of Pakistan’s data transmission.

According to an internal email sent to PTCL employees, the IMEWE submarine cable is experiencing a partial outage between November 2 and November 12, 2023.

The result of the outage may be slow internet services in Pakistan during peak traffic hours.
