ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Telecommunication Authority – PTCL Internet Services have partially been restored and users are able to access the internet again.
Around 2.30am, internet services throughout Pakistan were impacted especially PTCL internet that was down throughout the country. There were reports of some other Internet Service Providers (ISPs) that were having issues with their internet services as well.

However, according to reports by INCPak Forum members on Facebook and WhatsApp group, PTCL services are gradually being restored and they are able to connect and browse the internet.
INCPAK Tech Forum members reported restoration updates from Khanpur, Karachi, Hyderabad, Lahore, and Islamabad.
Based on some sources, the cause of the problem is still unknown and we are still waiting for an official update from authorities.
Meanwhile, Jazz, Zong and Telenor Internet services were working fine and only PTCL internet, Stormfiber, Nayatel and other localized Internet Service Providers (ISPs) were facing issues with their services.
Soon after PTCL internet went down for users, Twitter started trending with the hashtag #PTCL and people started expressing their anger with the company’s internet service.
