Xiaomi is getting ready to release a new update, the HyperOS, for the Redmi Note 12 4G model, and this has been confirmed by GSMChina. They’ve managed to uncover the HyperOS test build designed for the Redmi Note 12 4G/4G NFC model, featuring firmware versions OS1.0.1.0.UMTMIXM and OS1.0.1.0.UMGMIXM. Xiaomi Inc. has even shared the update changelog on its internal test server.
This suggests that a substantial Android update is on the horizon for the Redmi Note 12, potentially making it the first Redmi device to globally adopt the new OS. It’s worth noting that HyperOS will be based on the Android 14 platform.

To quickly sum up the Redmi Note 12 4G, it comes equipped with the Snapdragon 685 processor and features a 6.67-inch Full HD OLED display with a sharp 1080 x 2400 pixel resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. The display, safeguarded by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, reaches a peak brightness of 1200 nits.
On the camera front, the Redmi Note 12 4G boasts a robust setup, including a 50 MP main camera, an 8 MP wide-angle camera, a 2 MP macro camera, and a 13 MP selfie camera. Driving the device is a substantial 5000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging, ensuring a reliable and efficient user experience.
