Rockstar Games has just confirmed the Grand Theft Auto VI (aka GTA 6) leak that went viral on social media on Sunday. According to the company, they suffered a network intrusion in which an unauthorized third-party accessed and downloaded confidential information from their systems.
The company’s statement added that information that was accessed included early development footage for the next Grand Theft Auto aka GTA 6. “At this time, we do not anticipate any disruption to our live game services nor any long-term effect on the development on our ongoing projects.” the game developer added.
Rockstar Games said that it was extremely disappointed to have details of GTA 6 being leaked and shared with everyone in this way. However, the company added that work on the next Grand Theft Auto (GTA 6) will continue as planned and the company remains committed as ever to delivering an experience that exceeds player’s expectations.

It is pertinent to mention that more than 90 videos of GTA 6 were leaked on social media on Sunday and showed some every important aspects of the game, including the location, characters that include a female protagonist, refreshed UI, and the quintessential ‘Star’ system.
