As the rumored release date of the Galaxy S24 series approaches on January 17, more details about Samsung’s upcoming flagship phones are surfacing.
A recent leak offers a sneak peek at the alleged Galaxy S24 Ultra, showcasing an elegant silver color. While closely resembling the outgoing Galaxy S23 Ultra, a noticeable difference lies in its flat screen and back design.
The highly anticipated S24 Ultra is expected to maintain the camera layout of its predecessor, housed within a distinctive metal ring. A significant upgrade is the rumored titanium frame, set to replace the Armor Aluminum casing seen in the S23 series, similar to the new iPhone 15 series.
On the right side of the phone, you can spot a power button and volume rocker, along with antenna lines on the slightly curved metal frame. Upon closer inspection, a SIM card slot is revealed on the right side, and an S Pen slot is located at the bottom, contributing to the phone’s maintained boxy design.
Samsung is gearing up to officially unveil the Galaxy S24 series at a special event in San Jose, California, on January 17. Following the event, pre-orders are expected to kick off, with initial shipments likely to arrive a week later.
The Galaxy S24 Ultra is anticipated to feature the all-new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC with generative AI capabilities in select regions, while other countries will receive the Exynos 2400 chip.
In tandem with the chip’s generative AI capabilities, Samsung introduces Gauss AI for Galaxy phones.
Functioning as Samsung’s version of ChatGPT for phones, Gauss AI is equipped to generate text, including summaries and explanations, and produce images similar to DALL-E. Moreover, it is designed to assist programmers with coding tasks.
