Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra to Reportedly Feature Flat-Screen Design

With Samsung preparing for the global debut of its Galaxy S24 lineup on February 17 at the Galaxy Unpacked event, it has hinted to a new design direction. From a leaked video of the Galaxy S24 Ultra, a change to flat displays can be observed as implied from its straight and rectangular form which is considered practical and more usable. This translates to a more widespread trend, where flat-screen is replacing curved displays with the issues concerning unconscious touches and brittle screens.

Unlike brands such as Xiaomi trying out quad-curved displays, Samsung’s move toward a flat display with narrow bezel implies prioritizing utility over mere appearance.

Rumored Specifications for the Galaxy S24 Ultra:

The Galaxy S24 Ultra is likely to come with a 6.8-inch QHD + Dynamic AMOLED 2X display that supports a refresh rate of 120Hz and runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 mobile processor series. Storage capacities vary from 256GB to 1TB, with 12GB of RAM.

In its camera department, it has a 200MP wide-angle primary shooter with four other lenses: two telephoto lenses (50MP and 10MP), an impressive ultra-wide angle lens at 12MP, and a front camera at 12MP. Furthermore, the camera setup will supports up to 100X digital zoom.

The smartphone has a sturdy 5000mAh battery that allows for quick charging and supports multiple connectivity features. Based on the One UI 6.1 software, developed under Android 14, the Galaxy S24 Ultra will be a smartphone made to optimize users’ experience thanks to AI features as well as support support for over 7 years.
