SAN FRANCISCO: The South Korean Giant Samsung on Wednesday launched it’s Folding 5G Smartphone The Galaxy Fold, becoming the first the first major manufacturer to offer this feature.
The Galaxy Fold is the first smartphone for fifth-generation or 5G wireless networks.
The Galaxy Fold was unveiled in an event held at San Francisco, California on February 20, 2019. It serves both as a smartphone and a tablet. It comes with 4.6-inch display and opens like a book to become a 7.3-inch tablet.
The Fold will be available from April 26 starting at the price of $1,980 as revealed by the company.

New Galaxy S10 models was also announced during the same event, upgrading its current line of flagship handsets to include a 5G device.
DJ Koh, head of mobile communications at Samsung Electronics said at the event that to recharge the growth of their industry and to inspire the new generation of the Smartphones they are pushing the technology beyond the limits.
“For those who say everything possible has already been done, I say open your mind and get ready for the dawn of a new mobile era. Buckle your seatbelt, the future is about to begin.”
It is expected the rivals will announce their 5G smartphones at the Mobile World Congress due next week.

Samsung spokesperson said at the event
“We are creating a new dimension for your phone and your life,”
“It doesn’t even define a new category; it defies a new category.”
The Galaxy Fold come in black, silver, green and blue colors. It supports three Apps at the same time, you can watch Netflix, Google something and answer text messages at the same time.
