Samsung has introduced the Galaxy M55 5G, a mid-range smartphone, in Brazil. While initial speculations compared it to the recently launched Galaxy A55, the M55 offers distinct features despite sharing similarities in design.
The Galaxy M55 boasts a 6.7-inch AMOLED Plus display with a punch-hole design, providing a Full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 1,000 nits. It also includes an in-screen fingerprint scanner. Operating on Android 14 with One UI 6.1, the device ensures a smooth user experience.
Powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset and a 5,000mAh battery supporting 45W fast charging, the M55 guarantees efficient performance. Furthermore, there is 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, along with connectivity options like Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and a USB-C port.
In terms of photography, the M55 has a 50-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls. On the rear, it houses an OIS-enabled 50-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. Additionally, the device comes equipped with dual speakers for enhanced audio.
The Galaxy M55 is priced at BZR 2,699 in Brazil, approximately 0, and is available in Light Green and Dark Blue colors. The smartphone is expected to launch in different markets, including India, in the coming weeks.
