Seagate Technology has unveiled the 24TB IronWolf Pro hard drives designed for small to medium businesses (SMBs) and enterprises, with a focus on reliable performance network-attached storage of NAS systems.
The Seagate IronWolf Pro 24TB features the Seagate AgileArray technology and is designed for multi-bay NAS systems to provide consistent and maximum performance. Furthermore, the demanding workloads and vibration issues are addressed by dual-plane balancing, time-limited failure recovery (TLER) technology, and a built-in rotational vibration (RV) sensor which guarantees reliability.
The Hard drive contains an IronWolf Health Management system which monitors the health of your data and makes preventive, intervention, and recovery recommendations on compatible NAS systems. Capacities vary between 2TB to 24TB and all models offer a transfer rate of 285MB/s, a workload up to 550TB/year, and an MTBF of 2.5 million hours.
Retailing for $649 for the 24TB variant, Seagate provides a five-year limited warranty together with three years of free Rescue Data Recovery Services and IronWolf Health Management system. Focusing on the NAS market, Seagate’s IronWolf Pro series strives to deliver stable and fast storage solutions for businesses.
