Stability AI, the company behind the popular AI image generator known as Stable Diffusion, has confirmed that the company’s next image generation model, Stable Diffusion 3 (SD3), will be open source.
The confirmation came from Stability AI’s CEO, Christian Laforte, on X (formerly Twitter). “We are still hard at work improving the model towards open release. Including source code and weights.” tweeted the CEO in response to another tweet.
