Steam Sets New Record of 36 Million Concurrent Players

Steam, developed by Valve Corporation, is a widely used platform for buying, downloading, and playing video games. Recently, it has experienced a surge in online activity, setting new record for peak concurrent players for three consecutive weeks.

Top Games on Steam:

• CS:GO: 1,425,033 players
• DOTA 2: 725,429 players
• PUBG: 706,785 players
• Apex Legends: 434,411 players
• Jedi Fallen Order 2: 378,370 players
• Escape from Tarkov: 276,440 players
• Source SDK Base 2007: 216,523 players
• Rainbow Six: Siege: 201,933 players
• GTA 5: 185,713 players
• Baldur’s Gate 3 – 149,943 players

Steam had the following numbers of concurrent players for the past three weeks:

• Week Ending March 2nd: 34,298,950 concurrent users
• Week Ending March 10th: 35,385,530 concurrent users
• Week Ending March 18th: 36,354,393 concurrent users (New Record)

Counter-Strike gained popularity with its second iteration running on the Source 2 Engine. Interestingly, some previously popular titles like “Phantom Parlu” and “Last Era” dropped out of the top 10, with “Phantom Parlu” falling to 11th place (138,585 players) and “Last Era” reaching a peak of 119,642 players in the last 24 hours.

The surge in online activity on Steam reflects the growing interest in gaming, with millions of players enjoying various titles simultaneously. The platform continues to serve as a hub for gamers worldwide, offering a diverse range of games and community features.
