Facebook promised a new interface last year and according to CNET and even some users, whats called The New Facebook interface has started rolling out to users.
Some users are getting a pop up asking them if they want to participate in testing “The New Facebook” which is what the company is calling.

A glimpse of this design was shared by Facebook in May of last year.
Based on the report by CNET, the company plans to start offering this new interface to everyone “broadly sometime before spring.”
The New Facebook interface of site apparently allows users to select the background color which they can either set to the default white or pick other bright colors and that not the only thing. There is reportedly an option for a “dark mode” background as well.

Dark mode is something that’s getting increasingly popular recently and for good reason too. Not only does it look better but it’s much easier on the eyes too.
The people who have gotten the option to switch to The New Facebook interface do have an option to switch back to the standard old interface.
Facebook is encouraging people to report bugs in their new redesign and provide their feedback of what they think of it.
