 For the past few decades, various British engineers and businessmen have attempted to build sports cars under The Trident name with as much luck as a broken umbrella in London,

It’s not just about the shape and design of Iceni but the diesel powered fuel efficiency makes the remarkable difference, bringing Diesel once again in the race, where the companies are seeking for hybrid technology  engineers at Trident worked on something Vintage.

Today Trident announced it would finally starts building its sports car.

Trident’s Iceni diesel sports car can do 0-60 in 3.7 seconds and 2,000 miles on a tank

Of course, the main selling point of the Iceni isn’t its styling, but its diesel powertrain. It consists of a turbocharged 6.6-liter V8, connected to a six-speed automatic transmission.

With 395 horsepower and 700 pound-feet of torque on tap, the Iceni will do 0 to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds, and reach a top speed of over 190 mph, according to Trident.

The Trident Iceni Grand Tourer, a diesel-powered machine that hits 200 MPH miles per hour while returning to 69 miles per gallon on a variety of fuels,

it could be fantastic – when it hits the road.
