Twitter has announced that it will be relaunching its revamped Twitter Blue Subscription on Monday (12 December 2022) after a few weeks of suspension due to fake accounts pretending to be a brand of some known public figure started emerging on the platform with the verified blue tick.
According to Twitter, the Twitter Blue Subscription will cost $8 per month on the web, while the company will charge an increased price of $11 per month for iOS users to recover the 30% transaction fee charged by Apple.

The subscription will give access to subscriber-only features like ability to Edit Tweets, upload 1080p videos, reader mode as well as Twitter’s verified blue tick / checkmark.
However, the company has stated that it will be changing the ‘official’ label with a gold checkmark for businesses and it will be adding a grey checkmark for government or multilateral accounts in the coming weeks.
Furthermore, Twitter will allow subscribers to change their display name, profile photo, or even their handle, but users will temporarily lose their blue tick until their account is reviewed again.
