Twitter has always allowed posting photos, videos or even GIFs, but separately. However, Twitter users have been given the option to combine photos, videos, and even GIFs to post in the same tweet through a feature called ‘Mixed Media’.
According to the details, Twitter had been working on the feature for some time now and it was already available to a small group of users since July.
Previously, a user could post multiple photos, a single GIF or video in a single tweet, but with the release of this feature on a global scale, Twitter users can combine all kinds of media and post it in a single tweet.
“You can now add a combination of media to your Tweet on Android and iOS.” the company wrote in a tweet. “That means you can include a photo, GIF, and video (or two!) all in the same Tweet. Tap the photo icon in the Tweet composer to start mixing your media.”

However, the feature is only available on Android and iOS with no confirmation by the company about its release on the web version of the micro-blogging platform.
Furthermore, tweet embeds do not support the feature, however, Twitter responded to a user saying that “it’s something we’re looking into.”
Hey Jane! It's something we're looking into.
