Vivo has officially launched its latest budget smartphone, the Y03, in Indonesia, following a stream of rumors. Serving as the successor to the Vivo Y02 released in November last year, the Y03 boasts several notable features.
The Vivo Y03 sports a 6.56-inch IPS LCD screen with HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate, featuring a waterdrop notch housing a 5MP selfie camera. On the rear, the device showcases a dual-camera setup within two rings, comprising a 13MP primary lens and a QVGA lens, accompanied by an LED flash.
Powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 processor, the Y03 promises decent performance for daily tasks, supported by 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and either 64GB or 128GB of internal storage, expandable up to 1TB via microSD card. Additionally, Vivo’s Extended RAM feature allows for virtual extension by 4GB.
With a 5,000mAh battery supporting 15W charging via USB-C, the device runs on Android 14-based FunTouch OS 14. It also includes features like dual SIM support, 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and GPS, with dimensions measuring 163.78 x 75.73 x 8.39mm and a weight of around 185 grams. Notably, the Y03 boasts an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance.
Available in Green and Black color options, the Vivo Y03 is priced at IDR 1,299,000 ($83) for the 4/64GB variant and IDR 1,499,000 ($97) for the 4/128GB variant. The company is expected to expand the availability of this smartphone to other Asian markets soon.
