The long awaited WhatsApp Dark Theme feature is finally rolling out to beta users with the new beta version 2.20.13. We have been hearing for a while now about this feature and a few people have already reportedly been using this feature.
However, now the WhatsApp Dark Theme feature is out for all beta users but if you are on the stable version and want to move to the beta version of the app to try the feature you should remember that being a beta version it might have some bugs.
WABetaInfo first reported about the new beta with a tweet.
The WhatsApp Dark Theme can be enabled by going into settings and then the chats options (WhatsApp settings > Chats) and look for the new Theme option that will not be added over there.
Going into the Theme option users will have three options to select from including Set by Battery Saver, Light and Dark.
Selecting the Set by Battery Saver option will automatically switch the app between light and dark mode depending on the battery saver settings.
Although selecting the Light and Dark options will lock the app on the selected theme. It should be clear without mentioning it that the Light Theme is your basic default WhatsApp theme and everyone has been using until now.
WhatsApp is also releasing other features soon and one of them includes the Animated Stickers feature that is already available to beta users. Another function that most users have been waiting for is the Disappearing Messages that has now been renamed Delete Messages.

The Disappearing Messages or Delete Messages feature in WhatsApp was first said to be available for both private and Group Chats however, a later report by WABetaInfo stated that the feature was removed from the private chats option.
It will not only be available for WhatsApp Group chats and available to only group admins. The purpose of this feature is to clean up old messages in group chats that keep piling up and taking up space.
