The encrypted messenger WhatsApp seems to working on their expiring messaging feature once again allowing users to have their messages deleted after 7 days from both the sides of the chat.
This is nothing new as there have been many previous reports by the name of “Disappearing Messages” which were introduced by WhatsApp in their earlier beta versions but later scrapped.

Now WABetaInfo has spotted the same feature in WhatsApp by the name of “Expiring Messages” and according to the screenshot shared, it shows that messages sent with the feature turned on will disappear after seven days.
However, there is no telling whether users will have the option to select the time period instead of the pre-built seven days option.
WhatsApp Mute Always Option
Another feature recently spotted by WABetaInfo is the “Mute Always” option that has replaced the “1 Year” mute notification option allowing users to permanently mute chats.
There is no telling when these features will be released to the end users since they are still under testing and may not even make it to the stable version of WhatsApp as many features have been scrapped by the company after making it to the final stages.
