The Facebook-owned encrypted messaging platform, WhatsApp, has rolled out a new update for its beta users with a playback speed option for listening to voice notes.

According to WABetaInfo, the new feature was initially introduced by WhatsApp on its beta version 2.21.9.4 but the company disabled the feature in the next update (2.21.9.5).
WhatsApp has re-introduced the playback speed feature for voice notes starting with beta version 2.21.9.10.
In order to use the new feature, all you need to do is play a voice note and look for a playback speed symbol like shown in the picture below.

However, there is chance that the few playback speed option for voice notes might not be available for you since WhatsApp has a habit of introducing new features to a handful of users at first and then extend it to more users with future updates.
