Meta-owned WhatsApp is working on yet another useful feature that will allow users to share their status updates on other social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram. According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp cross-platform stating sharing is available in the latest WhatsApp beta for Android version 2.23.25.20 available on the Google Play Store.
WABetaInfo stated that WhatsApp is working on new ways to allow “optional sharing” of status updates on Meta’s other social media platforms. The WhatsApp news tracker even provided a screenshot that shows the underdevelopment feature under the “Status Privacy” option.
The new feature will definitely help to save time by allowing users to share their status across platforms with just a single click. However, it bears noting that cross-platform status sharing will be optional with WhatsApp giving full control to the user to decide who sees their content.
For now, there is no confirmation on the release date of the said feature, but some of you on the WhatsApp beta version 2.23.25.20 might already have the ability to use cross-platform status sharing.
