Meta-owned WhatsApp is working on a completely new UI design for the Android and iOS apps, WABetaInfo reported.
According to the WhatsApp tracker, the new design is already available to Android beta version 2.23.18.18 and iOS beta version 23.17.1.77 for selected testers as it is still in early stages.
WhatsApp is bringing a complete design overhaul with a clean white color and a vibrant green palette for user interface elements.
Meanwhile, WhatsApp’s navigation bar has also been relocated to the bottom, which offers a much better user experience.
WhatsApp is bringing the redesigned apps in line with Google’s Material Design 3 guidelines in order to stay with the industry’s trends.
However, it is still unclear when WhatsApp plans to release the new design to its stable release since it is still under testing with select beta users.
