Meta keeps introducing new feature to improve users’ WhatsApp experience. In a new announcement, the company said it was working on Multi-Device 2.0 and the next WhatsApp update may bring you the ability you send messages to yourself on linked devices.
According to WABetaInfo, a WhatsApp tracker service, the ability to send messages to yourself from a linked device is an important feature that has been missing from multi-device support. However, WhatsApp is finally in the process of developing a solution that will allow users to send messages to themselves on all linked devices.
It is pertinent to mention that ability to send messages to yourself was available to users before the introduction of the WhatsApp multi-device support. However, it was no longer possible to send messages to yourself as chat with your own phone number only showed up on the primary device.
WABetaInfo has shared a screenshot of the new feature that shows you will be able to send messages to yourself on WhatsApp by tapping your personal chat in the future. Furthermore, this chat will also show up when you try to log into WhatsApp from another mobile device when the feature will be released to everyone at a later date.
Even though the screenshot is taken from WhatsApp Desktop beta, the company will release the same feature for WhatsApp beta for Android and iOS as well. However, it is still unknown when the feature will be released on a global scale and made available to everyone.
