While Google did not announce any new Nexus devices during the Google I/O keynote session, it looks like it’s silently going to launch a White colour variant of the Nexus 4 that would run Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.
According to a report by Android and Me the White Nexus 4 would start selling on the Google Play Store on June 10th and it would run Android 4.3, the next iteration of Google’s mobile operating system. Hardware wise there’s nothing different in the new variant of the Nexus 4.
Specification:
- 4.7-inch screen with 768×1280 pixel resolution
- 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor
- 2GB RAM
- Android 4.3
- It comes with an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 1.3-megapixel front camera
- 2,100mAh battery
the phone is a “carbon copy” of the black model, and will arrive on the Google Play Store June 10 with Android 4.3 on board.
What little there is to know about Android 4.3 indicates it won’t be an earth-shattering update, but it should bring Bluetooth Low Energy support. It may also support OpenGL for Embedded Systems 3.0, shepherding advanced graphics capabilities along with it.
Google apparently scrapped 4.3 from its keynote in favor of showing off its ability to introduce new services and APIs without bumping up Android firmware, a perspective courtesy of Android and Me’s Google sources.
