Microsoft’s next version of Windows aka Windows 11 has been leaked online and the shared images offer a first look at the upcoming operating system and its redesigned user interface (UI), start menu and lots of more features.
Windows 11 build 21996.1 has been leaked online while offering us a peek at what Microsoft was hoping to reveal next week and it is exactly what was expected, a redesigned Windows 10 with a revised user interface featuring rounded corners and new icons.
Microsoft has also changed the taskbar, which now has centered app icons and features a new start button and a more simplified menu without Live Tiles. It still includes pinned apps, recent files and the ability to shut down or restart Windows 11 devices.
The leaked images shows the similarity of the Windows 11 UI to that of the Windows 10X, which was meant for portable devices but ended up getting scrapped by Microsoft.
Microsoft has reportedly been working on a new Windows Store for Windows 11 but the leaked images show the same version found on Windows 10.
However, it must be noted that this is not the final version of Windows 11 and Microsoft may introduce several changes before the end version is released to consumers.
