The social media platform X (formerly Twitter) is down in Pakistan with users unable to access the service across the country. However, the social media website is still up and accessible using a Virtual Private Network (VPN). Update: The service came back and went down again.
Downdetector has also seen an uptick in complaints from Pakistan as users face difficulties accessing X (formerly Twitter). Here is a screenshot showing the massive increase in user complaints on Downdetector.pk.
Meanwhile, all other social media platforms are accessible in the country.
It is pertinent to mention that X (formerly Twitter) went down around 4:30 pm; however, there are several users complaining that the platform has been inaccessible for much longer.
