Xiaomi has introduced several new devices at its MWC 2024 event, including smartphones and wearables. The latter include the Xiaomi Watch 2, Watch S3, and Band 8 Pro are the latter ones, and the Xiaomi Watch 2 is the most notable among them.
Unlike the Watch 2 Pro, the Xiaomi Watch 2 doesn’t have a rotating crown but has two buttons on the right side instead. It has a circular dial with a 1.43-inch AMOLED display offering a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels, within an aluminum body, which is 5ATM water-resistant.
The Xiaomi Watch 2 is equipped with a 12-channel health monitoring technology that is able to track heart rate, blood oxygen levels, sleep patterns, stress levels, and even menstrual cycles. It supports more than 160 sports modes and has built-in GPS for outdoor sports. The Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 processor, running on 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage for apps and music, allows for smooth and efficient operation. The watch runs on WearOS and thus offers access to a multitude of third-party apps and Google services.
The Xiaomi Watch 2 comes with fall detection, emergency call capacities, hands-free voice calling, and the convenience of camera and music control. The manufacturer claims the device has a 495 mAh battery capable of 65 hours of normal use. Coming in Black and Silver colors, the Xiaomi Watch 2 is priced at EUR 199, and it is an ideal device that combines advanced health monitoring and smartwatch functions for consumers.
