Xiaomi Mi A1 a powerful mid-range smartphone with dual lenses camera was launched couple of months before and it gained so much popularity all around the world due to its impressive specs and cheap price.
It is the first time that Xiaomi has ditched its trustee MIUI platform and this is also Xiaomi’s first dual camera smart phone.
With 7.1.2 OS, this is Xiaomi’s most advanced phone yet in terms of android version. The phone presents a smooth and lack free experience on general day to day things.
The Xiaomi Mi A1 looks and feels like a phone twice the price. But like many of Xiaomi’s previous phones, this device looks very much like an Apple phone.
Xiaomi Mi A1 [Unboxing]
The left side of the phone only has the SIM card tray. Like many international phones, the tray can hold either 1-2 nanoSIM cards, or one nanoSIM and one microSD.
The Xiaomi Mi A1 is powered by 2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor and it comes with 4GB of RAM. The phone packs 64GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card. As far as the cameras are concerned, the Xiaomi Mi A1 packs a 12-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 5-megapixel front shooter for selfies.
A fingerprint scanner sits at the top middle, and in my experience, it seemed fast.
The Xiaomi Mi A1 runs Android 7.1.2 and is powered by a 3080mAh non-removable battery. It measures 155.40 x 75.80 x 7.30 (height x width x thickness) and weigh 168.00 grams.
The Xiaomi Mi A1 also supports Qualcomm’s Quick Charge technology, and the bundled 2A charger replenishes the device from zero to 100% in less than two hours, which is good but not incredible.
Audio output through the single bottom-firing speaker is pretty good. The sound is loud, albeit slightly distorted. Overall, it’s about average for this price.
Google promises the phone will get Android Oreo before the end of the year and Android P shortly after its released.
