Xiaomi is reportedly working on a new foldable phone with a pop up camera for selfies in order to enable a full screen experience for users without any notch or punch-hole on the primary display.
The leak came from Tipster who goes by Sam (@Shadow_Leak) on Twitter. The images shared in the Tweet showed the smartphone featuring two display panels with the larger primary display folding inward, while the outer panel featured a smaller secondary display.
The other half of the rear panel on the alleged upcoming Xiaomi foldable phone showed the rear camera system, which comprises of three image sensors. However, its still unknown what exact functions each of the image sensors offer or any indication of an under-display sensor.
The selfie camera was situated on the top of the smartphone with the pop up mechanism, which is likely motorized. The images show there are two cut outs in the pop up camera mechanism, which may indicate two image sensors or one image sensors along with some other type of sensor.

If the leak is true in anyway that means Xiaomi is trying to revive the pop up trend once again but this time with a foldable phone, which may not be the best idea seeing that these smartphones are already more delicate without adding complicated pop up mechanisms.
However, there is nothing confirmed at this point but we may hear more news on the Xiaomi foldable phone with pop up camera soon.
