To improve communication on the platform and engage users more dynamically, Meta-owned WhatsApp is introducing a new feature – the ability to share “stickers” in channels.
The new feature is making its way to beta testers and will gradually reach more users in the upcoming weeks, aiming to jazz up the variety of content within channels.
Users diving into the latest WhatsApp beta update for Android (2.23.24.19), available on the Google Play Store, will stumble upon the option to send stickers in channels.
Although this is currently limited to some beta testers, the feature will become more widely accessible as updates roll out.
Curious if you’re included in this group? Simply update your app through the Google Play Store and check your channel’s keyboard.
If you spot the sticker tab alongside the emoji keyboard, congratulations! You’re now able to sprinkle some sticker fun into your channel chats. Animated stickers? They’re in the mix too, adding an extra splash of dynamism.
This new addition allows channel owners to express themselves more vividly than with plain text, injecting a livelier vibe into their conversations. Stickers add a whole new and fresh feel into communication, boosting engagement by adding diverse content and prompting user reactions.
