In a landmark move, a memorandum of understanding has been signed by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Uzbekistan allowing visa-free travel between these two countries. This treaty allows for visa-free entry into Uzbekistan to UAE citizens holding ordinary, diplomatic special and mission passports.
According to the memorandum, UAE citizens holding passports with a minimum validity of six months can enter Uzbekistan visa-free. This eliminates the previous need for an electronic visa, so that UAE nationals are able to stay in Uzbekistan for up to 30 days per visit.
In a quid pro quo, the holders of Uzbek citizens’ biometric passports for international travel or returning home will become entitled to visa-free entry into the United Arab Emirates.
The Memorandum is a major leap forward towards better diplomatic and travel ties between the two nations, making traveling simpler for citizens of all countries involved. This advancement is predicted to facilitate greater cultural interaction and cooperation in diverse arenas.
