The Ministry of Foreign Affairs updated the UAE’s visa policy, letting people from 87 countries visit UAE with visa on arrival. This change aims to make traveling easier and encourage more tourists to come. However, citizens from 110 other countries still need a visa before they arrive.
You can find the list of exempted countries and visa rules on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website or contact the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Ports Security, and Customs for more details. Citizens of GCC countries don’t need a visa or sponsorship; they only need to show their passport or ID card at UAE entry points.
People from certain countries can get a visa when they arrive, valid for 30 days with an extra 10-day grace period. Some countries’ citizens can get a 90-day visa upon arrival. For example, citizens of India with certain documents can get a 14-day visa upon arrival, extendable for another 14 days.
If you’re not from an exempted country, you need a sponsor in the UAE to get an entry permit from the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs before you arrive.
