Various fireworks displays are set to unfold at prominent landmarks and leisure spots. Here’s where you can witness the dazzling shows:
Abu Dhabi:
Yas Island
Yas Bay Waterfront: 9 pm, December 2
Visitors to Yas Island, already treated to star-studded live performances during the day, can anticipate a breathtaking fireworks display over the Arabian Gulf. Head to the waterfront’s promenade at 9 pm on December 2 for a mesmerizing show.
Al Maryah Island
The Promenade: 9 pm, December 2-3
This popular business and lifestyle destination will honor the spirit of the Union with a spectacular firework display and water show. Don’t miss it at The Galleria Al Maryah Island’s Promenade on December 2-3 at 9 pm.
Sheikh Zayed Festival, Al Wathba
December 2-3 (Celebrations run from 4 pm to 1 am)
As part of Abu Dhabi’s landmark heritage festival, special activities will unfold from December 2 to 3. Enjoy live performances, children’s shows, and a variety of surprises. The Emirates Fountain will also be adorned in the colors of the UAE. Fireworks and drones will captivate festival-goers at night.
Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental
Hotel Beachfront/Abu Dhabi Corniche: 9 pm, December 2
Abu Dhabi’s iconic five-star hotel, Emirates Palace, is gearing up for a grand show during the UAE National Day weekend. The celebrations kick off on November 27, with one of the highlights being the pyrotechnics and light show scheduled for 9 pm on December 2. The spectacle will be visible to both hotel guests and the public.
Dubai:
Global Village
Fireworks Avenue: December 1-2, 9 pm
The beloved festival park in Dubai, Global Village, has curated an entertainment-filled schedule from December 1 to 3, featuring cultural performances and themed activities. Experience the enchanting fireworks shows every Friday and Saturday at 9 pm. If you’re there on December 1 and 2, you’re in for a spectacular treat.
Other landmarks
Several popular places in Dubai, including Bluewaters, Dubai Festival City, Al Seef, and The Beach on JBR, are known to celebrate UAE National Day with fireworks each year. Plans for this year are yet to be announced.
Sharjah:
National Day events and festivities commenced in the emirate in November and will continue until December 3. The main event and opening are scheduled at Sharjah National Park from November 28 to December 3, featuring theatrical shows, workshops, interactive competitions, and more. Celebrations are also planned in Al Dhaid, Khor Fakkan, Al Bataeh region, Kalba, and Heritage Village. Al Mudam region will host a fireworks show as part of its events.
