Abu Dhabi’s land custom centres are set to undergo a significant boost in efficiency and security through the implementation of cutting-edge technology, including artificial intelligence (AI). The General Administration of Abu Dhabi Customs has successfully concluded a project aimed at upgrading its centres in Al Ain city by incorporating advanced inspection devices supported by AI and rapid non-stop scanning technology.

The Khatm Al Shiklah and Mezyad customs centres, strategically positioned on the UAE-Oman border, now feature seven state-of-the-art X-ray scanning devices, among the most advanced globally. Additionally, two central control and operation rooms for the inspection devices have been established to streamline operations.
The primary objective of this project is to streamline customs processes, ensuring swift and seamless passage while concurrently bolstering security and facilitating smoother trade routes.
