Free Wi-Fi is accessible throughout Abu Dhabi for both residents and visitors.
The Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT) recently introduced free Wi-Fi coverage across the emirate of Abu Dhabi, extending to buses, beaches, and public parks, as revealed on Friday.
In partnership with UAE service providers, DMT’s initiative encompasses public parks (19 in Abu Dhabi, 11 in Al Ain, and 14 in Al Dhafra Region) and is set to expand to Abu Dhabi Corniche beach and Al Bateen beach.
Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa, Chairman of DMT, expressed pride in providing this service, ensuring connectivity for everyone across various locations. He highlighted Abu Dhabi’s impressive global ranking at 13 out of 141 cities in the IMD Smart City Index 2023, reaffirming the commitment to openness, innovation, inclusivity, and sustainability in smart city development.
