Abu Dhabi’s Department of Health (DoH) has introduced the Sanadkom initiative, digitally integrating services from seven government entities to simplify procedures for bereaved families. Launched as part of the Abu Dhabi Programme for Effortless Customer Experience, the initiative initially focuses on serving the families of deceased UAE nationals, with plans to expand to all residents in the emirate later. Sanadkom aims to streamline the customer experience, offering support to families dealing with the passing of an Emirati member.
Dr. Noura Khamis Al Ghaithi, DoH Undersecretary, emphasized the commitment to enhancing customer experience and delivering exceptional government services. The initiative assigns a representative from a joint government support team to provide case-by-case assistance to bereaved families via phone, eliminating the need for in-person visits to government entities.
Sanadkom digitally unifies services from entities including DoH, Abu Dhabi Judicial Department, Abu Dhabi Pension Fund, SEHA, Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre, Abu Dhabi Distribution Company, and Al Ain Distribution Company. The initiative’s first phase marks a milestone, offering an integrated service for bereaved families to efficiently complete necessary government procedures related to death, such as obtaining death certificates, arranging burials, and distributing retirement pension benefits to beneficiaries.
