The Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) declared that businesses on Al Reem Island won’t have to pay fees for a commercial license until October 31. ADGM made this decision after talking with businesses on Al Reem Island to understand their needs and issues. They found that non-financial and retail businesses on the island face challenges when transitioning from the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED) to ADGM.
To support these businesses, ADGM introduced a new incentive. This incentive allows established non-financial and retail businesses on Al Reem Island to get an ADGM commercial license without paying fees. Hamad Sayah Al Mazrouei, CEO of ADGM Registration Authority, explained that this initiative aims to help these businesses smoothly transition to operating within ADGM’s jurisdiction.
ADGM encourages all non-financial and retail businesses on Al Reem Island to take advantage of this opportunity. This exemption from fees will help them avoid disruptions during the move from an ADDED license to an ADGM license.
