Legendary Bollywood actor Muhammed Yusuf Khan, who was more famously known by his stage name Dilip Kumar, has passed away at the age of 98 from medical issues after being hospitalized last week.
The news of his passing was shared on the actor’s official Twitter account by family friend Faisal Farooqui. “With a heavy heart and profound grief, I announce the passing away of our beloved Dilip Saab, few minutes ago.” read the Twitter post.

Dilip Kumar was admitted to the Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai after complaining of breathlessness. This was the second time the actor had been hospitalized in the same month.
The actor suffered from multiple health problems and had been in and out of the hospital over the years ranging from Kidney ailment to pneumonia.
Born on December 11, 1922 in Peshawar as Mohammad Yousaf Khan, he began his film career in 1944 with Jawar Bhata.
Dilip Kumar went on to become one of the most prominent actors of Bollywood and has worked in some of the most iconic films which include Naya Daur, Mughal-e-Azam, Devdas, Ram Aur Shyam, Andaz, Deedar, Daagh, Azad, and Ganga Jamuna.
