CHINA: China rain has affected more than two million people as reported by the local media.
Heavy rain is expected to hit most parts of China until Wednesday.
China Xinhua News has reported sixteen people have died and twelve are still missing after the torrential rain hit the south of China.
Countless homes and crops have been damaged by the heavy down pour.
Damages Reported So Far
Guangxi Zhuang Region
- Week Long heavy rain has caused floods in Six Cities and Thirty-two counties.
- Nine dead
- Over 360,000 people affected
- More than 1,300 houses were damaged by floods.
- Nearly 17,000 residents evacuated
Guangdong Province
- Seven dead
- One missing
- Roads and houses destroyed by heavy rain
Heyuan city
- Three counties are worst hit in the week long rainstorm.
- More than 110,000 people affected.
- 956 houses were damaged.

Nine cities in Jiangxi province were immersed in flood waters. 150,000 people were relocated.
In Guangxi province more than twenty thousand homes are with out power.
The meteorological administration has reported rainstorms are likely to cover other areas. The affected areas may include Guangdong, Sichuan and Taiwan by Thursday.
The people are also warned and alerted for dangerous mudslides.

Rescue efforts are underway in S. China’s Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region where torrential rain has claimed five lives and left thousands of people stranded.
Video captured a rainstorm-triggered landslide in Jinping county of Guizhou province on Sunday afternoon, which blocked a mountainside road.
More than 1.8 million people have been affected by torrential rain-triggered floods in east China’s Jiangxi Province. This aerial footage shows what’s happening in Ji’an City.
