Philippine flight attendant Christine Angelica Dacera was found dead in a bathtub at a New Year’s party at the City Garden Hotel in Makati. Suspected 11 men have been charged with rape and homicide.
The twenty-three-year-old Philippine air stewardess Christine Angelica Dacera was found in a bathtub of a hotel room where she went to a party with her friends to celebrate New Year’s eve. She was later announced dead.
About The Suspects
The Makati Police Chief Col. Harold Depositar in a statement said 11 persons are charged with provisional charge of rape with homicide on Monday. The police chief also mentioned the 11 suspects were occupying two adjacent hotel rooms at the time of her death.
Only three men have been arrested while the police are still hunting for the other eight suspects. Out of these eleven suspects, Christine Angelica Dacera only knew three of them while others were strangers to her. All present at the party is being treated as suspects.
Basis of the rape with homicide charge
According to initial reports the cause of death was said to be due to aneurysm. However, Col. Harold Depositar said the victim had lacerations and deposits of sperm on her body. He also mentioned there were also bruises, contusions, and scratches on her arms and legs.
He also said the death of Christine Angelica Dacera may have been found to be natural initially but some factors suggested the assault.

How it happened
The 23 year old Philippine stewardess Christine Angelica Dacera was found unconscious in an empty bathtub of a hotel room where she went to celebrate New Year with some of her friends. The ill-fated flight attendant was declared dead at the hospital. The Makati Health center informed the city police. Three friends and hotel staff had rushed her to the hospital after finding her unconscious in an empty bathtub of their hotel room.
The police have said Christine Angelica Dacera was gang-raped during the all-night party to celebrate the new year. She was partying with several of her friends and colleagues. One of her colleagues Rommel Galida said he woke up at around 10 am, he noticed her sleeping in the bathtub. he covered her with a blanket and went back to sleep.
When Galida woke up again after several hours and found her in the same unconscious state noticed blue color and hence raised alarm. The hotel staff tried to revive her by CPR and was immediately taken to Makati Medical Clinic where the doctors announced her dead.

Sharon who thought her daughter would be safe at the party because she was with her friends and colleagues said “Why did they have to do that to my child? I want to seek justice.”

The family of Philippine stewardess Christine Angelica Dacera is crying for justice. They are asking the suspects to turn themselves in and cooperate with the authorities to resolve the case.
Sharon Dacera also appealed to the President for help. She also said:
I want to call on those who were involved in the accident with my daughter, if you are innocent, come out. If you want to prove that you are not at fault, come out.

Philippine National Police is declaring the matter “solved.” However, the family spokes person Atty. Brick Reyes, has said the case is still ongoing and are in the middle of the proceedings. Reyes has also revealed one of the suspects have been released without proper investigation.
